SUMMARY
The Property Supervisor is responsible for managing administrative functions for all properties that The People Concern has entered into master lease agreements. The candidate will promote positive resident relations by demonstrating a knowledge of Fair Housing. This staff member supervises the Master Leasing Property Manager and provides back up support for the role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire and liaison with property management companies for our permanent housing sites.
- Work with supportive services staff and property landlords to identify areas in need of improvement and notify appropriate person connected to each property to ensure repairs and improvements are completed in a timely manner.
- Complete monthly reports such Asset Management Report, Rent Log, Tenant Log, and Vacancy Tracker.
- Ensure that lease-ups and rent collections are completed in accordance with industry standards; as needed, collaborate with attorneys and complete required legal paperwork on matters relating to evictions.
- Facilitate on-site Property Management meetings once per month.
- Coordinate and lead tours of properties as requested.
- Coordinate inspections of all properties as requested by funding, licensing, insurance, or oversight entities.
- On call after-hours and on weekends to address any emergency work orders and/or other building emergencies as back up support to your staff.
- Participate in the creation of policies and procedures which are in accordance with Fair Housing.
- Review and help to implement reasonable accommodations, as needed.
- Have a working knowledge of Yardi.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA preferred
- Minimum five years' related experience in real estate and/or property management
- Extensive knowledge of HUD/Fair Housing/subsidies
- Experience with commercial building maintenance
- Computer literate, with basic skills in MS Office and Internet usage
- Working knowledge of workplace safety and illness and injury prevention practices
- Detail oriented with good time management , organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision
- Self-starter with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and thrive in fast-paced work environment
- Current, valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

Work Environment
- Combination of field and office environment
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs.
- On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
- Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
- Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise and odor
- May need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the day
