What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at The Perry Law Group PLLC?
The Perry Law Group, PLLC is hiring a full-time paralegal to join our family law firm. This position is located in downtown Seattle.
Position Responsibilities:
- Significant Client contact/support.
- Using Family Soft and Support Calc to run child support calculations and scenarios.
- Assist with preparation of mediation/arbitration/trial materials, including ER 904 Notice, Witness and Exhibit list, Joint Statement of Evidence, trial subpoenas and motions in limine.
- Assist with all tasks related to case management from filing to entry of final orders.
- Preparing correspondence, pleadings, court filings, discovery.
- Any and all other duties assigned by attorney.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of office experience in a family law firm
- Must have high proficiency in Word, Excel and other typically used software programs. Experience with Family Soft a plus.
- Must be a self-starter who is well organized and can handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to manage time and multiple deadlines seamlessly, including the ability to work independently.
- Ability to problem solve and to think outside the box.
- Must be able to Efile/Eserve pleadings in most counties.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while paying close attention to detail.
- Professional attire, appearance and demeanor.
Compensation/Benefits: Typical work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, highly competitive pay DOE, paid major holidays, 10 days of paid time off per year with eligibility to take five days after six months of employment, paid health insurance and an Orca card.
