The Role
The Pet Hospital, Waterford are looking to expand their services and due to this have an exciting opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.
Your main duties will include surgical and clinical rotations, radiology, ultrasound, and laboratory medicine. The working week will be 9-5 Monday to Friday with Saturday morning 9-1 every 3rd week. The out of hours rota is 1 in 3 nights per week and 1 weekend in 3.
Salary
The salary for this role is up to €70,000 depending on experience.
About Us
We are a registered Veterinary Hospital located in the heart of Waterford City overlooking the Peoples Park and within half an hour’s drive of some of the most beautiful beaches and mountain landscapes in Ireland. The Hospital is well equipped with digital x ray, gas anaesthesia, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, ECG, endoscopy, dental and well stocked pharmacy. Our day is divided between surgery and clinic with a break from 1 to 2 for lunch.
About the Team and Culture
We have a team of 2 vets, 2 nurses and are hoping to expand this team to cope with the ever-increasing demand for veterinary services in Waterford city. Supporting this medical team, we have 2 receptionists and a practice manager.
The successful applicant will complement the veterinary team in our clinical and surgical medicine, bringing new knowledge and methods to the table as well as learning from the many years of experience that we have at the Pet Hospital. Applicant Requirements
This position is for a veterinary surgeon registered with the veterinary council of Ireland. Experience is desirable but not essential. The suitable candidate must be a team player with a good sense of humour and a love of veterinary medicine. You can expect a relaxed and supportive team at the Pet Hospital with an appreciation of balance between work and play
