What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at The Pheasant Tail Tavern?
We are located in a tiny little town known for great fly fishing! We offer the residents and tourists an upscale diner experience. We have many regulars and are trying to gear up for the season. As a server you'd be expected to do many varying tasks. upon arrival you must set up for the day which includes;
*Stocking the salad station
*Checking condiments and refilling
*Whipping down menus
*Writting down specials
*Fill Ice Bins
*Update the specials boards
Once set up for the day, you can set up any reservations we have for the day. This includes menus, silverware, water, napkins, straws, and a reservation sign.
When costumers arrive, you're expected to greet them and find a place for them to sit. You'd then go over any specials and offer to get drinks or appetizers. We don't want to keep costumers waiting too long, but at the same time, not feel like they are being rushed by overloading them with all their food at once.
once done eating you should always try to keep selling! Dessert or coffee, we have both and they are great together! once the costumers leave, you're expected to clean off the table.
At the end of the night, you'll be given a closing list which will range from cleaning bathrooms, to rolling silverware.
We do have a dress code, upon being hired you'll be asked to wear black pants/shorts and given a tee shirt with our logo.
our hours right now are Wednesday-Saturday 4pm-9pm, come may this will change drastically as we will be open Sunday's and Monday's and also for breakfast and lunch.
