Retail Store Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and customer-focused Retail Store Associates (FT/PT) to join our team at The Pieceful Project, a retail store specializing in Lego, puzzles, and board games. As a Retail Store Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing retail venture in Cary, IL (our flagship store), and McHenry, IL (our pop-up shop), involving setup, buildout, and the entire go-to-market experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, purchases, and product information
• Maintain a tidy and organized store environment to enhance the shopping experience- Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking shelves as needed
• Operate cash registers and process transactions accurately
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives
• Assist in setting up and executing marketing initiatives and promotional events
• Contribute to the overall success of the store by performing various tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
• (NOT required but a plus!) LEGO, board game, or puzzle knowledge
• Willingness to engage with customers proactively

Pay: $15.00 - $21.76 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
