We are a busy restaurant, and our team loves the hustle! The server/support staff roles are so important to running a smooth operation and is a perfect entry-level position for someone looking to enter the food industry. Core responsibilities include following our steps of service when greeting and serving tables, running orders to tables when ready, pre-bussing tables to keep them tidy during service, refilling coffees and drinks, and resetting tables when guests leave. Other tasks may include packing To-Go orders, stocking the line, cleaning and sweeping, or whatever else needs to be done to support the shift flow. Moving with a high level of pace and intensity, keeping yourself busy, having clear communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are all needed to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Practice safe food handling and cleanliness at all times. Adhere to Covid Guidelines with masks and constant hand washing.
- Deliver impressive service. Greet tables in 1 minute, explain menu system and our new full service model for serving, make recommendations, run drinks within 5 minutes, food in 15 minutes. Be the party host at each table.
- Be a menu maven; Have detailed knowledge of portions, ingredients and potential food allergies to answer any and all questions if asked with confidence and accuracy
- Set up for success; keep up with side-work before, during and after your shift to maintain smooth workflow and stocked supplies. Re-set tables between guests with napkins, service ware, and glasses.
- Be a team player. Attend mandatory pre-shift meetings, communicate through the expo position details for orders, follow standard protocol, and share support tasks such as running food, pre-bussing, water and coffee refills, and bussing dirty dishes back to the kitchen.
- Pack to-go orders for third party delivery, online and call-in orders.
- Other duties or assignments not listed above but a Manager asks you to do.
Requirements
- Must be 18
- Open availability on weekends (Sat Sun)
- Can work 10 hours on your feet.
- Moves with a high level of pace and intensity
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Active listening and effective communication skills
- Attentiveness to detail when it comes to cleaning, service and food presentation
- Team spirit; no such thing as “that’s not my job.”
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $6.38 - $15.69 per hour
