What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steward position at The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa?
The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is looking for a full-time Steward/Dishwasher to join our kitchen team!
Eighteen95 Restaurant & Armory Lounge. A beautiful Historic Hotel of America located in the heart of Portland's Old Port District.
These are year-round, full-time position approx. 32 - 40 hours per week. Nights/Weekends are required, pay is based on experience.
Summary: Washes all dirty dishes and puts them away in a clean and orderly condition. Maintains the overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up and breaks down dish machine.
Washes and puts away all dirty dishes and glassware
Washes and puts away all pots, pans, utensils, etc.
Washes and puts away all silverware.
Washes and sanitizes sinks, walls, and work tables.
Breaks down all cardboard boxes and places the in the recycling bin.
Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Puts green compost bins outside at the end of the shift (PM only).
Breaks down, puts away, and cleans up employee meal.
Empties all trash cans at the end of shift.
Sweep and mop entire kitchen floor (PM Shift)
Sweeps and mops walk-in coolers # 1 & 2, and dry storage area (AM Shift)
Keep sinks clear of dishes and food debris
