In the role of a Senior Systems Engineer, you will assume a pivotal position as the second-level point of contact for end-users, offering comprehensive support and maintenance within the organization's user computing environment. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support, resolving complex issues, and providing leadership in end-user device engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain systems, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT solutions.
- Respond to user inquiries, diagnose problems, and escalate issues as needed.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement proactive measures to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct system audits and recommend improvements for security and efficiency.
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to systems support.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide support outside of regular business hours.
- Train end-users on system usage and best practices.
Qualifications:
- CompTIA A and Network certifications are advantageous.
- CompTIA A certification is mandatory after 90 days of employment.
- Microsoft certification with a focus on Office 365 is required after 180 days of employment.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft mainstream products and software.
- Any other certifications that adhere to industry standards.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Completion of a background check and pre-employment screening.
- Potential for onsite work during on-call hours.
