GENERAL DESCRIPTION (1-3 LINES DESCRIBING ROLE): |

Supervise and manage the school library/media center. Provide services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to solve problems. Serve as teacher, materials expert, and curriculum adviser to ensure that the library/media center is involved in instructional programs of the school. |

Work Environment: Work is generally performed in a school environment during the school day. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the library teacher is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear. The teacher is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch and/or kneel. The library teacher is occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building. Vision and hearing correctable to within normal ranges. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
