The Rapid is looking for a Facilities, Building, and Grounds Technician to join our team!

• Hiring Range : $26.79 - $32.61 per hour (pay range dependent on experience and certifications)
• Shift : 1st Shift (occasional overtime is required for emergency situations, snow plowing, etc.)

What will you be doing in this role :

• Carpentry
• Masonry / concrete
• Plumbing
• Building HVAC equipment and controls
• Landscape and irrigation systems
• All work associated with bus shelter assembly, rehabilitation, and installation
• All work associated with bus stop sign maintenance
• Facility maintenance equipment operation, service, and repair
• Snow removal
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

To be successful in this role you will need :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of related experience in general shop and / or building maintenance is preferred with experience of carpentry, compressors and motors.
• Computer skills with the ability to learn new programs as required.
• A valid Michigan Driver's License.
• Own hand tools as necessary to perform the assigned work
