Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field. Three (3) years of full-time experience in data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field. Experience in data analysis and visualization, specifically with Tableau and R Shiny. Experience with EHR systems and healthcare data privacy regulations. Experience in programming languages and database systems (R, Python, SQL, SAS).
Brief Description of Duties:
Stony Brook University's Office of Scientific Affairs invites applications for a Research Data Analyst position. This role is pivotal in supporting grant activities, offering data brokerage services for electronic health records, and enhancing research capabilities through advanced data analysis techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a robust skill set in data science, with a particular emphasis on Tableau and R Shiny for data visualization and interactive reporting, alongside a strong foundation in managing and interpreting large datasets.
The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and report writing. Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic research environment.
