Postdoctoral Associate
Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)
Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Immunology or a closely related field in hand by the start of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Critical thinking skills, Interest in studying adaptive immunity during respiratory infections, enthusiasm for scientific discovery (Devarajan Lab) and a keen eagerness to grow as a scientist. Experience in Techniques: Mouse handling (i.v., i.p. injections), Mouse dissection & tissue processing, Flow Cytometry. Preferred but can be learned: PCR, RT-PCR, viral plaque assays, scRNAseq, in-vitro cell culture assays, ELISA, ELISPOT, Immunohistochemistry
Brief Description of Duties:
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator Dr. Priyadharshini Devarajan in the department of Microbiology and Immunology. Please visit the Devarajan Lab to learn more about our department/research. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University.
