What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUD Counselor & Intake Assistant position at The Ridge Ohio?
The Ridge Ohio is currently looking for counselors who are passionate about helping people maintain Recovery for Life. This position will include assisting with facilitation of paperwork for new program admissions. Started in 2011, The Ridge offers premier substance use treatment in the greater Cincinnati area with client-focused residential and detoxification services.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments with new program admissions as needed
- Counsel and advise individuals or groups with substance abuse disorders in a detox and residential treatment setting
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans
- Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare or counseling professionals as needed
- Complete documentation in a timely manner
- Attend staffing/supervision meetings on a weekly basis
- Facilitate group sessions with clients in a detox and residential treatment setting
- Teamwork and supporting each other is a must
- Provides coverage for intake facilitation as needed:
- Includes obtaining signatures for consent, confidentiality, ROI’s, and financial arrangements

Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
8am to 4pm
Credentials needed: Minimum LCDC III; prefer LICDC or LPC
