Do you have experience in Fact-Checking or Text Review? Looking for a short-term work-from-home role that you can work in your own time?
THE RIGHT STAFF is aiding a research company in Minneapolis with its search for multiple part-time Fact Checkers for a 2-3 weeks contract opportunity.
This would be a 100% Remote role, starting after Labor Day.
Candidates must have their own PC equipment and a high-speed internet connection. This role will be working around a total of 40 hours within 2-3 weeks and offers a flexible schedule (work on your own time).
It can be worked during nights and weekends.
The project aims to fact-check news articles about economic sanctions / geopolitical news and how they affect 3rd world countries.
Note : There will be a 1-hour training included / required on the first day via video call and will be mainly based on each person's availability.
Minimum Requirements :
- MUST BE a Minnesota resident to be considered
- 100% Remote; Must have your own equipment / Internet connection
- Part-time with a maximum of 20 hours / week (Flexible hours) and a total 40 hours worked over the 2-3 weeks contract
- Pay is $20 / hr
- Start ASAP! (After Labor Day)
- Must be able to do 1 hour of training on the first day via video call and must have access to a webcam.

Job Details :
- Must be a native-level English speaker
- Having the interest and investigative skills around the topic preferred
- Prior experience or background in fact-checking, journalism, economics, proofreading, copy editing, geopolitics, research, or similar is highly preferred
- Must have excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must have excellent computer and time management skills
- Must be detail-orientated, and resourceful
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have their own equipment to work from home.
