Principle Responsibilities/Position Purpose:
Provide prompt and courteous service to team members in the cafeteria by setting up and replenishing the food line, salad bar, and all other food and beverage stations. Maintain cleanliness of entire cafeteria area including food line, prep area and seating area.
What will I be doing?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform pre-meal and post-meal side work such as salad bar prep, dessert prep, etc.
Be responsible for obtaining and maintaining all necessary supplies from kitchen to set up cafeteria during schedule hours of service.
Perform all clean up duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down tables, cleaning salad bar, etc.
Set up and maintain food line and salad bar as needed on a timely basis.
Report any guest/team member dissatisfaction to Supervisor for resolution.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
A Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for providing food and beverage service to team members in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to read, write, and speak English so as to fully comprehend job requests, caution notices, and similar written materials, and to communicate effectively with fellow team members.
Ability to transport heavy objects through crowded rooms safely.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION
High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

At least 1 year experience in a food service position
