Youth System Engagement & Advocacy Coordinator (Grove Campus)
SAFE Alliance seeks a Youth System Engagement & Advocacy Coordinator for the Community Services Program in the Expect Respect department. This position is responsible for convening a Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) consisting of school district personnel, law enforcement officers, victim service advocates, youth development specialists and other community partners. This position will support the coordination of support groups and counseling for youth exposed to violence, a summer youth leadership program and year-round collaboration with SAFE's Expect Respect Program staff, SAFE staff, partners such as Measure, Girls Empowerment Network, and others. Funded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), this position is responsible for engaging project partners, developing a strategic plan, coordinating services, submitting all required documentation, and grant reporting.

We have provided over 10,000 callers/chats/texts, walk-in advocacy and crisis interventions or face-to-face emotional support through our 24/7 confidential SAFEline.

Position Details:
We are looking for one person to work on a full-time, exempt basis for an annual salary of $55,000 to $58,000 dependent upon experience and an additional annual language differential of $3,600 for those who are English/Spanish bilingual. The work location will be based at our Grove Blvd. Campus in the East Austin area. This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses and will allow for some remote/hybrid work. OR no travel in the community or between campuses but will allow for some remote/hybrid work.

Required Qualifications:
- Possess a master's degree in social work, education, or related field with appropriate licensure preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum Two (2) years' experience working in a school setting.
- Minimum Three (3) years' experience engaging multi-disciplinary partners, providing training, developing policy, coordinating meetings and events.
- Possess knowledge of child development and therapy modalities appropriate for children and teens and knowledge about sexual abuse and effects of domestic violence on children.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills with a preference for applicants that have English/Spanish fluency.
- Demonstrates professionalism and resilience with the ability to value the differences and expertise of various staff, project partners, school personnel, community members and youth.
- Exercises exceptional decision quality in grant management including budget tracking, monitoring contract of funded partner, project implementation, documentation, and grant reporting.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skill in collaborating with partners, OVW grants team and other grantees; participates in OVW-mandated training including travel as needed.
- Ability to coordinate project activities including client-centered counseling and support groups, summer youth leadership academy, professional training, and campaigns and events.
- With reasonable accommodation, this position requires the manual dexterity to sufficiently operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity capable of drafting, editing, reviewing, and/or comprehending materials in a standard typeface size 10 font or above, are required.
- Ability to travel as there may be some travel required to OVW Conferences located across the US (twice a year).
- This position requires driving. You must have a valid, State of Texas Driver's License (If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver's License within 90 days of beginning employment.) AND at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age AND an acceptable driving record that covers at least the last three years of driver history.
- This position requires completion of the 40-Hour Office of Attorney General Sexual Assault Advocacy Training Program within six (6) months of starting employment, along with participating in annual continuing education throughout your employment.
- Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check if applicable), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test, if applicable.
