Boys & Girls Club Area Director

Location: The Boys and Girls Club 640 Laurens Street Aiken, SC Hours: 10 am- 6 pm Mon-Fri (Summer hours vary) Saturdays (on rare occasions)   About this opportunity: Boys and Girls Club Area Director /Full-Time   Directs and manages overall daily operations at units/branches/clubs with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery, supervision and training of staff (direct and indirect reports), facilities management, community relations, and membership administration. Key responsibilities: Provide leadership, direction, and support to the Area Commander/Corps Officer in developing organizational goals, attaining/allocating resources, and establishing policies. Instruct and train employees in the proper methods and procedures for conducting work; monitor work in progress and upon completion for compliance with established program policies and procedures; conduct performance evaluations and make salary and hiring/firing recommendations to HR and the Area Commander Provide professional leadership to the Area Commander / Corps Officer to ensure the development of an effective and motivated Advisory Council/Committee, including identification, recruitment, training, and involvement of members in meeting the goals of the organization. Directs and participates in public relations and fundraising activities. What we are looking for in you: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business, accounting, or social services and Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the management, administration, and operation of a Boys & Girls Club, with a track record of at least two years in a leadership capacity of a Club organization with multiple sites with a budget of $500,000 to $1.5M. or Seven (7) years of experience working in a similar youth service organization, Working Conditions:                   Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.           Employee Benefits: Some of the benefits are: Employee Health Plan Life Insurance Employee Pension Why work for us?
