The Custodian performs routine and general cleaning, maintaining assigned area(s) to meet staff, clients, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Clean and dust all horizontal and vertical surfaces including windows, doors, desks, shelves, intake vents, tables, chairs and cabinets
- Maintain clean carpets by detailed vacuuming, spot removal and shampooing
- Perform hard surface care for tile, concrete, tabletops, drinking fountains, and counters including buffing, sweeping, washing, polishing, spot removal and disinfecting.
- Perform spot cleaning for walls, light switches and doors as needed
- Service and sanitize restrooms by cleaning floors, bathtubs, showers, sinks, urinals, toilets and mirrors
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen counters, sinks, appliances and floors
- Empty trash and recycle receptacles; replace liners as needed
- Monitor and report maintenance repairs
- Organize cleaning supplies
- Assist with building repairs as needed, such as painting, moving furniture or plumbing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Janitorial experience (preferred)
