The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a great opportunity for a Youth Program Director supporting the mission of the Evangeline Booth Training College located at 1032 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Qualified candidates for this position will be uniformed Salvationist in good standing with The Salvation Army.

Job Summary
Subscribes to, adheres to, and shares the Doctrine, Mission, and position of the Salvation Army; Develops and leads worship services and ministerial programs; provides spiritual guidance and Christian leadership to the teens of the Evangeline Booth College; Plans and coordinates recreational activities and trips for teens of cadets and staff officers; maintains a positive relationship with parents; Supervises the daily operation of the Teen Center under the scheduled hours of operation; provides transportation for teens to all activities and transportation to and from school.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of the principles and practices of Child The Salvation Army, Principles and practices of Child behavior and development, Family dynamics, and teen issues, principles and practices of Christian education and discipleship; Ability to plan, develop, and implement effective Teen Center programs and activities; to lead music programs; to serve as an example of Salvationism and to demonstrate interest in the spiritual well-being of all Teen Center students; conduct all activities of the position to accomplish The Salvation Army’s fundamental purpose to proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Education and Experience
Highschool diploma or G.E.D required supplemented by college coursework toward achieving a degree in the related field And Two years’ experience performing progressively responsible youth development work, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position requires candidate to be a uniformed Salvationist in good standing with The Salvation Army.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid State of GA Driver’s License
Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is performed in a normal childcare environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
