Second City Works, the B2B side of Second City, has brought award-winning improvisation and audience-driven techniques to over 600 Fortune 1000 companies, challenging businesses seeking a more collaborative culture to innovate through development programs, original digital and video content, campaign consultation, private events, and more.  Job Description: The Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance needs of the Second City. We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable and detail oriented.   This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.  This role is primarily weekends but may have occasional weekday requirements.   Responsibilities include (but not limited to)   ● Equipment Management   ○ Track and discard lost & found items   ○ Track and store equipment/product deliveries   ● Maintenance of products and spaces   ○ Janitorial responsibilities (as needed)   ○ Assist with immediate on-site projects   ○ Complete product installation requests and troubleshooting   ○ Minor repairs (as needed)   ● Set-up and breakdowns for classes and/or events   ○ Verify each space has sufficient chairs, supplies and/or equipment   ○ Be available to assist with any malfunctions in the spaces   ○ Set-up and breakdown all equipment used for classes/events   ○ Inventory of class equipment (mics, amps, etc.)   ○ Lock up closed areas of the building   Qualifications:   ● Janitorial experience (a plus)   ● Proactive and solution-focused   ● Can adapt in a fast-paced environment   ● Time-management skills required   ● Flexible availability (willing to work mornings, evenings and weekends)   ● Must be able to lift 25lbs or more   ● Climb stairs, ramps and ladders occasionally during shift   ● Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties       The Second City is an open, inclusive workplace and welcomes applicants who bring along with them diverse life experiences, including every permutation of economic and cultural backgrounds, orientation, ethnicity and points of view.
