Objective
Plant Operator needed for our STAR locations. Structured 28-day, rotating DuPont schedule - 4, 3, 3, 4 - with 8 consecutive days off. Competitive starting hourly rate and scheduled performance review/increase for new Team members. OT after 40 and for all unscheduled hours worked. Production bonus paid monthly! Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to work 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Mechanical proficiency sufficient to operate various plant equipment (blowers, pumps, fans) and conduct equipment inspections, and perform light maintenance
- Self-starter
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret materials, operate plant equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and high places.

Essential Functions
- Monitors and operates plant equipment to maintain safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.
- Makes adjustments to controls system so that system performance is optimized.
- Makes rounds to check conditions of plant equipment and records operational data on log sheets.
- Investigates changes in instrument readings and equipment operation.
- Recognizes and mitigates operating difficulties to minimize plant down time.
- Responsible for daily operations, maintenance, and repair, including daily logs, preventive maintenance tasks and reporting requirements.
- Provides equipment inspection, maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and diagnoses of plant equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory safety standards and protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be able to perform heavy work requiring lifting or exerting pressure in excess of 50 Pounds frequently. Must be able to work in confined spaces and in high places. A substantial amount of standing, walking, climbing reaching overhead, bending and squatting, sitting is required. Must be able to hear alarms and timers and differentiate between the different normal and abnormal noises, sounds and alarms found in the operation of a manufacturing plant. Vision requirements include the ability to see instrument read-outs, charts, gauges, and alarm windows. Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions, high heat, dusts, chemicals, loud noises, rotating machinery, and other conditions found in a power plant.
