Professional and administrative work primarily involved in obtaining, processing, indexing, and performing verifications on post-closing mortgage audits. This individual works closely with the quality control analysts to find ways to facilitate their audits of loan files. This position will organize and structure inbound mortgage files to increase audit efficiency for the department. The position will also be involved in special projects including obtaining data and testing new procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Confirms receipt and performs initial scrub of mortgage loan files from audit clients.
  • Performs data entry into our audit software platform as well as sends out the appropriate verifications based upon underwriting requirements (i.e. employment, income, asset, occupancy, tax transcript, credit report, etc.).
  • Fully indexes and prepares mortgage loan files for audit by quality control analysts.
  • Identifies missing documents during initial document scrub and requests missing documents from clients, as needed.
  • Obtains, processes, and logs completed verifications into our audit software platform when received.
  • Assists quality control analysts by printing, enveloping, and mailing audit verifications.
  • Works with QC Manager to compile data and test new avenues of efficiency.
  • Provide insight and ideas in developing audit facilitating procedures.
  • Tests new procedures and ideas for developing the audit facilitator position; works with QC manager with miscellaneous projects on an as-needed basis.

  • Standard office equipment such as phones, copiers, etc.

General:

  • Must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours) to communicate with employees, customers, managers and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and company goals.

  • Must be capable of adapting, with minimal or no advance notice, to changes in how business is conducted and work is accomplished, with no diminishment in work performance.
  • Actively participate in quarterly performance meetings; meet or exceed all performance metrics.

  • Perform other duties as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma with specific position-related experience

Experience: Familiarity with mortgage loan documentation strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
