What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookeeper position at the-shepherd-law-group?
The ideal candidate will be flexible, highly organized, detail oriented and have 1-3 years experience with QuickBooks desktop as well as a similar amount of basic Law office administrative experience. They also must be able to pass a background check showing no issues that prevent them from handling cash or financial instruments. Experience with real estate or housing, and law firm practices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Accounts Payable (data entry and processing)
· Knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop & Quickbooks Payroll
· Accounts Receivables (collecting and processing payments)
· Reconciling bank accounts
· Updating accrued sick/vacation time
Additional basic administrative tasks include
· Electronic and paper filing
· Basic office scanning / routing of paper correspondence to staff members.
· Working on other bookkeeping or office administrative matters as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
· 1-3 years working with Quickbooks (Pro, Non-profit or Enterprise Windows desktop versions).
· AA or BA in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
· Ability to qualify for a fidelity bond allowing handling of cash and checks as shown via a background check.
· Experience with EXCEL & WORD based financial reporting and tracking
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Experience with timeslips/willing to learn.
· Results-driven and team-oriented work style.
· Well organized and detail oriented.
