What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales - Public Bid Liaison position at The Sherwin-Williams Company?

The Inside Sales - Public Bid Liaison is responsible for driving leads to the sales team. They are measured by number of leads and dollar value of leads closed.

  • Responsible for driving leads to the sales team
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all public lead opportunities
  • Monitor Dodge for project leads
    • Sherwin Williams products/systems specified
      • Flooring
      • Water/WasteWater
  • Enter all leads into CRM (Salesforce) converting opportunity to sales rep
  • Develop working relationships with Sales Representatives and partner to manage the status of project leads
  • Track opportunity progress, revenue recognition and report results
  • Provide information and answers to questions via email and phone calls from architects and general contractors on project leads and inquires
  • Phone, email and live chat support
  • Support Water/Wastewater lead generation
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual sales plan

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma and 2 years' Inside Sales or Customer Service experience
  • Working knowledge of construction documentation - Understanding CSI
  • General knowledge of Architects, General Contractors, Owners and Contractors
  • Possesses and applies knowledge of coatings, especially in architectural specifications for new construction applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication and a strong presence over the phone
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Track record of successful job performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/business field
  • 3 years of business to business sales experience in the industrial flooring industry
  • Functional PC and PC application skills
  • Experience with Dodge platform
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Focuses on results and performance
  • Builds trust and respect
  • Drives decisions and actions
  • Understands the customer perspective

Travel Requirements:

  • 20%
