What are the responsibilities and job description for the Talent Associate position at The Shine Collective?

As a Talent Associate, you'll play a crucial role in building our Shine Collective Professional team of passionate individuals who are driven to make a difference in their career. You'll be responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process, from school partnerships, sourcing, preparing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and onboarding new hires.

Responsibilities:

  • School partnerships and preparing candidates:
    • Determining the school strategy for High School and Community college outreach
    • Working with the schools to build a strong talent pipeline
    • Training potential candidates in resume and interview skills.
  • Sourcing and Screening Candidates:
    • Proactively identify and attract top talent through various channels (online job boards, career fairs/training sessions with schools, referrals, etc.).
    • Screen resumes and cover letters to identify the most qualified candidates for open positions.
    • Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate fit and experience.
  • Recruitment and Interview Coordination:
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and key stakeholders.
    • Prepare interview materials and candidate profiles.
    • Assist with interview logistics and follow-up communication.
  • Offer and Onboarding:
    • Present competitive offers to top candidates, in coordination with the partner companies.
    • Coordinate onboarding paperwork and logistics with hiring manager and partner company HR team.
  • Data and Reporting:
    • Track and analyze recruitment data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on recruitment activities and results.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Manage postings on social media channels.
    • Manage website and career page.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for [non-profit's mission] and a desire to make a difference.

What to expect:

  • Hired as a contractor to work 10 to 15 hours a week
  • Pay to be $25 to $30 and hour
  • Remote work but ability to travel to schools and partner company sites for training/career fair as needed
