The position and responsibilities you are assuming is as the Business Office Manager for our community. The Business Office Manager assists the Executive Director in assuring that all operational guidelines, standards of the company, and the quality assurance goals are met.

Primary Purposes

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, families, staff and vendors by cultivating quality relationships.
  • Fulfill Human Resource responsibilities at the community level - payroll, onboarding and offboarding, training & employee morale.
  • Provide financial and system support to Executive Director and staff through accounting systems, cash management, budget review and invoice approvals.

  • Facilitate all human resource duties as assigned.
  • Manage all site account receivable duties as assigned.
  • Facilitate the education and training process for employees through new employee orientation and regular education and training classes, as directed by the Executive Director and per company policy and standards.
  • Maintain organized, neat, and current resident business files.
  • Maintain organized, neat, and current employee files.
  • Maintain organized, neat, and current facility financial files and information.
  • Assists in assuring adherence to all quality assurance systems, so that continuous improvement of all community operations occurs.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis of labor to budgeted values and present results to the Executive Director.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and year-to-date analysis of total financials (revenues and expenses) and present results to the Executive Director.
  • Contribute appropriate budget-setting feedback to Executive Director.
  • Serve as the community super-user of Accounting, eHR, POS and HR software applications.
  • Assure Executive Director is regularly informed of facility status and particularly of any significant problems for which guidance is necessary.

  • Meets the needs and wishes of customers (residents, staff, and families) appropriately by being prompt, polite, professional, and personal
  • Makes the best decision based on information while resisting the influence of peer pressure and emotions
  • Consistently reports to work on-time and completes scheduled shifts
  • Adaptable and willing to change in order to ensure success
  • Completes all assigned duties efficiently and accurately
  • Attends education and training classes as necessary to fulfill state regulations
  • Effectively and dynamically leads employees, inspiring their confidence and motivating them to consistently perform their duties according to highest standards
  • Assists the Management Team in providing an environment for employees in which they feel consistently feel valued and respected
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director


  • 3-5 years experience
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • AL & MC regulations knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Physical Demands and Requirements

  • Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to sit for up to four hours each day, stand or walk throughout the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to work with the fingers and to reach/handle items.
  • Involves light to heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous and strenuous daily activities.
