The Staff Pad is looking for a Senior Director to oversee the Behavioral Health Department within a growing health organization in Baltimore, MD.
The Senior Director is responsible for organizing, developing, anddirecting the overall strategy, planning, growth and operation of BehavioralHealth Services. Working with clinical leaders to provide an excellent clientexperience while planning for strategic growth for the health center andpromotion in the community. The Senior Director will report to the Chief MedicalOfficer (CMO) to ensure organizational goals are achieved with the highestdegree of quality, service and provider engagement. The Senior Director of BehavioralHealth will be able to hone in on their operation, marketing, and businessdevelopment skills to demonstrate success for the behavioral health program’s sustainability,growth and development. Strong leadership in operations, marketing and businessdevelopment is required for success.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create plans for achieving the department mission and vision
- Provide direction for programmatic development
- Oversee operations/administration of all Behavioral Health services
- Initiate, institute, and evaluate departmental goals in collaboration with the CMO and other leadership team members
- Direct the health center data reporting procedures for performance management requirements and fulfill regulatory and accrediting bodies' obligations
- Routinely reviews revenue cycle metrics to proactively identify and address issues affecting overall performance
- Delegate responsibilities to clinical leadership to support and carryout divisional plans and programs that meet quality metrics
- Manage an operational and fiscal budget to ensure a cost-effective service line while maintaining high-quality care
- Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide support in the delivery of care for Behavioral Health patients.
- Proven ability to address the social determinants of health and barriers to healthcare access and engagement.
- Extensive experience working with marginalized populations who may have social, economic, and/or behavioral health issues.
- Accountable for Behavioral Health program implementation/expansion, financials, and deliverables.
- Coordinates delivery of work from all parties involved.
- Accountable for execution of projects and programsuccess.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Required: college degree, MBA or MHA preferred
- Previous behavioral healthcare experience highly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience directing programs and staff, including budgets
- Preferred: post college training in health care, health education, health care administration
