Laminator Operator

Laminator I Summary

Location: Milford, NH

Hours: 5:30am to 2pm Monday through Friday

Payrate: $16-$18.70/hour

This is a Temp to Hire (Permanent) position

Responsibilities of the Material Handler:

• Read Bill of Materials and Work Instructions
• Verify parts kit to Bill of Materials
• Clean ceramics and syntactic foam with electric eraser, isopropyl alcohol and paper towels
• Pays close attention to detail regarding condition of parts. Notifies supervisor of discrepant material
• Prepare cut wire with use of Eraser brush-wire stripper. Pre-tins stripped wire.
• Solders appropriate size solder spots on negative side of ceramic to ensure proper fit to syntactic foam notch
• Solder wire(s) to solder spot(s)
• Weigh and mix epoxy, Urethane foam
• Laminate ceramic disk to foam disk
• Operate press to secure disks together
• Places laminated element in appropriate fixturing using care to maintain straightness of element, secures in fixture with torque driver, as required
• Cure elements in oven for appropriate length of time
• Test frequency using digital test equipment, Mode 1 program
• Weigh and mix urethane foam
• Fill airducer assemblies with foam using care to ensure foam properly covers element and o-ring
• Cures foamed airducers in oven for appropriate length of time
• Assemble connector to housing cap and solders wires to connector pins, as required.
• Positions housing cap in place
• Operates propane torch to de-gas curing epoxy
• Place completed airducers into appropriate container and forwards to tuning operation. Tunes airducers by placing into semi-automatic equipment and alternating cutting and testing operation until desired performance is achieved
• Places unit in pin stamper for P|N and date identification
• Maintains clean and orderly work area

Requirements of the Material Handler:

• High school education or equivalent experience
• A minimum of one year experience
• One year solder experience and previous soldering certificate required
