Functional Job Summary: Provide legal representation and counsel to advance business goals consistent with relevant state and federal law. Provide risk analysis and risk assessment to protect the company from unintended liability and to defend and pursue the company’s rights in legal proceedings.
Education & Experience Doctor of Jurisprudence & Admitted to the Oregon State Bar. Requires minimum 4 years attorney experience specifically relevant to the functional area supported (i.e., if attorney supports the Insurance Services Group area, that attorney must have a minimum of 4 years of life and health or employee benefit law experience), or the equivalent combination of education/experience.
Knowledge & Skills: Applies acquired legal skills and working knowledge of business practices in relevant professional field. Has good working knowledge of business practices in relevant professional field. Ability to spot legal issues, research accordingly and produce defensible, understandable work product.
Job Complexity & Judgment: Works on diverse legal problems of moderate complexity and scop. Exercises judgment and discretion.
Independence & Supv required: May require detailed instructions related to non-routine assignments. Work is often shared with team.
Interaction & Influence: Begins to build working relationships outside department. Effective team player.

The Standard’s package also includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off.

Salary Range:
