The IT Program Manager is responsible for orchestrating the planning and successful delivery of complex, strategic IT projects and programs. In this role, you will oversee multiple inter-related initiatives and cross-project/program dependencies, issues, and risks. You will assist in driving initiatives to completion in alignment with agreed upon outcomes, timelines, budgets and other key metrics. You will establish and maintain the correct structures, engagements, and cadence to plan and monitor committed deliverables, escalate impediments, report on the health of the projects and programs, and execute meaningful organizational change management.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Leveraging appropriate methods (traditional or Lean-Agile), you will maintain an integrated, aligned project/program work plan to ensure proper schedule integration and cross-project milestone delivery coordination. Maintain a program-level view of risks, issues and change impacts to ensure risks are properly analyzed and mitigated; issues are resolved; resource contention alleviated; program scope, schedule and costs are controlled. Quantify the business benefits and establish a business case for the program. Monitor overall progress and ensures that deliverables are produced on time and within budget. Monitor and control team performance against plans. Mentor and provide guidance to project managers within the team and across the organization. Ensure coherence of the project/program, through regular re-assessment of priorities, and re-assess whether initiatives continue to meet aligned and expected outcomes. Uses funds efficiently and recommends cancellation of initiatives, and initiation of new efforts, within the project/program, when necessary.
You will manage the creation, communication and presentation on all necessary project/program communications, and deliverables. Facilitate project/program-wide status meetings and materials and ensure delivery of Steering Committee reporting and weekly and monthly status reports.
You will ensure maximum efficiency in the allocation of common resources and skills. Ensure the appropriate environment is developed to successfully deliver project/program outcomes.
You will ensure that initiatives are closed out and that lessons learned are captured, shared broadly, and actioned upon.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: HS Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional certification: PMP and/or PgMP is preferred.
Experience: 10 years of IT centric project and program management experience with a proven delivery track record. 10 years managing vendors and project/program budget management and reporting. Background in process architecture and analysis, systematic problem solving, business analysis, and organizational change management is preferred. Insurance or financial services background is preferred.

Salary Range:
