Job Description
The HR Manager position works in close relationship with the Controller & individual restaurant managers for a small restaurant group. The position requires excellent discretion and judgment regarding private information and an exceptional ability to maintain an efficient and organized workflow for the HR operations.

Essential Job Functions
Works in all aspects of Human Resources and attends to the ongoing employment environment with assistance from the Controller.

• Assists with timekeeping and daily attendance, including follow-up for support of bi-weekly payroll processing
• Assists restaurant managers with updating the HR & Payroll system for new hires, terminations and other employee changes
• Maintains employee personnel files for multiple restaurants
• Posts open job positions, updates and maintains recruiting records, coordinates interviews
• Assists managers with new employee orientation, explaining company policies, benefits and procedures
• Assist with company benefit administration to include enrollment forms, plan questions, claims resolution, and open enrollment
• Manage workers' compensation injury claims, file reports with insurance provider, maintain accident information and monitor progress of claim
• Executes ongoing HR activities such as policy administration, FMLA, employee data maintenance and various reporting

• Respond to information requests from government agencies including unemployment claims and verifications of employment
• Assists with the company’s Performance Review process and assists with employee relations

• Remains knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments on new company procedures and employment regulations and compliance
• Demonstrates professionalism in all internal and external communication and demeanor
• Manages interactions between and among staff and escalates communication as appropriate
• Maintains strict confidentiality for all employee-related matters
• Adheres to all company employment policies and safe practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

Experience:

• Relevant: 2-3 years Payroll Experience (Preferred)
• Human Resources: 3-5 years (Required)
• Strong MS Office (Preferred)
• Paycor Experience a plus (or similar) (Preferred)
• Hospitality: Hotel/Restaurant experience (Preferred)

Education:

• College Degree – Business w/HR emphasis

Work Location:

• One location with visits to local restaurants.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
