What are the responsibilities and job description for the Float Bank Teller position at The State Bank?
**This position will float between our Stockbridge, Grass Lake and Munith branches.
SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of a Customer Service Representative is to deliver quality customer service while completing transactions in a courteous, accurate and efficient manner. A CSR is always seeking the opportunity to improve the customer’s banking relationship and will cross-sell products/services and refer customers to other areas of the bank when appropriate. Customer transactions may occur in-person at the branch, online, through the ITM technology or over the phone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform various financial transactions for customers within established guidelines for quality and accuracy. Follows Teller Cash Controls as directed by the Balancing Cash Procedure.
Cross-sell other products and services whenever possible and refers business to other areas of the Bank. Is supportive and participates in the Customer Benefits Program. Participate in the sales team culture within the community office, including achieving individual sales goals and contributing to branch goals.
Cross-training: May be trained as ITM teller to assist with financial transactions via Connect technology. May receive training to perform as vault teller on rotation. Some CSRs may be given supervisory transaction override authority. May be responsible for branch supply ordering.
Participate in regular training for industry specific regulations, guidelines, and procedures.
Assist in balancing branch machines where applicable: coin machine, ATM, ITM and/or cash dispensers.
Provide safe deposit box entry and performs basic account maintenance upon customer request.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A basic understanding of a computer and its applications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
