Position Summary
This is a position under the Division of Operations. Its primary purpose is to perform professional work primarily for the Client Trust Fund and DDC Trust Account. This position complies with and monitors compliance (when applicable) of the mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, F.S. and Chapter 60A of the Florida Administrative Code.
The Work You Will Do
Maintain a complete set of ledgers and journals for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP in the Client Trust Fund which involves reviewing and verifying all withdrawal requests for accuracy and availability of funds to maintain compliance with the Sunland Operating Procedure, posting the receipts, withdrawal requests, writing checks, balancing and reconciling the Client Trust on a daily basis and within the designated time frames.
Input daily into FLAIR all revenue receipts, check disbursements and activity for all local fund accounts for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP. This includes the DDC Trust, Client Trust, Revolving and Suntown Bank Accounts.
Maintains a complete set of computer ledgers and journals for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP in the DDC Trust Account. This involves reviewing and verifying all withdrawal requests for accuracy and availability of funds to maintain compliance with the Sunland Operating Procedure, posting the receipts, withdrawal requests, writing checks, balancing, and reconciling this Account on a daily basis and within the designated time frames (monthly reports).
Preparing monthly reports for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP for all DDC Trust and Client Trust Account transactions, including beginning balances and ending balances. Prepare quarterly statements of financial transactions for each client.
Responsible for organizing and maintain files for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP for all local accounts, including receipts, withdrawal requests, correspondence, contracts, etc., and timely filing.
Compiles, audits and reconciles all Accounts Payable Invoices for purchases for Sunland, Pathways and DDDP from the DDC Trust Enterprise Sub-Accounts. Prepares check requests and write checks to pay vendors each month. Reconciles all vendor statements and resolves any discrepancies. Pays vendors within 20 days of receipt of billing documents (i.e., invoices) in accordance with Section 215.422 F.S. Timely payment compliance will be measured using sampling methods.
Compiles and maintains Client Information on computer for all Sunland, Pathways and DDDP clients. The information consists of name, vendor number, social security number, admit date, date of birth, revenue, facility, house, contact person, address, deceased and/or discharge date.
Provides backup support to the cashier by balancing the large report direct deposits.
Input to each Sunland, Pathways and DDDP client account interest earned quarterly.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Facilities and Warehouse ensuring that the Receiving Reports are being completed.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or its equivalent and one year of bookkeeping or clerical accounting experience.
College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required experience provided such education includes two courses in bookkeeping or accounting. Vocational/technical training in bookkeeping or accounting can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for each year of the required experience.
Preferred but not required: Experience working in MyFloridaMarketplace (MFMP), Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR), Accounts Payable.

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.
Background Screening Requirement
