This is professional position as a Medicaid File Coordinator assigned to the Economic Self-Sufficiency Regional Case Maintenance Unit. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for conducting research in Economic Self-Sufficiency or Supplemental Security Income cases in which either the recipient and/or the provider are experiencing problems with Medicaid eligibility. In addition, the incumbent provides technical assistance to regional staff, corrects Medicaid eligibility file problems, and acts as a liaison with the Agency for Health Care Administration.
In order to carry out the responsibilities of the position, the incumbent must maintain knowledge of all public assistance programs, and must have a detailed working knowledge of the system interface between the FLORIDA system and Florida Medicaid Management Information System through participation in on site monitoring and statewide coordination meetings.

Conducts research and analysis of problem cases as they relate to the Medicaid Eligibility File. Completes On Base Reports and other reports as needed.
Provides written and verbal instructions to the staff for resolution of Medicaid Eligibility file errors. Provides on-site technical assistance through provision of training on the following: (1) Error resolution; (2) System interface; (3) Documents procedures; and (4) issues related to the Medicaid Eligibility file. Conducts research and analysis of problem cases as they relate to the Medicaid eligibility file.
Serves as the Region's focal point of coordination between Economic Self-Sufficiency and the Agency for Health Care Administration. Consults with the Agency for Health Care for current program development.
Participates in training and staff meetings.
Handles various special assignments, taking required action.
Performs other related duties as assigned including, but not limited to assuring compliance with the mandatory requirements in Section 215.422, F.S., and Chapter 3A-24 of the Florida Administrative Code.
Ability to compile, organize and analyze data; provide technical assistance in a human services program; assist in program development, expansion and improvement; develop and provide in-service training programs; prepare reports; plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; communicate effectively; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
