Duties and Responsibilities


Data Entry Duties:
  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.
  • Process documents by reviewing data for errors; resolve discrepancies by using standard procedures.
  • Enter customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
  • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verify entered data by reviewing and correcting; purge files to eliminate duplication of data.
  • Maintain agency operations by keeping information confidential.

Communication Duties:
  • Writes and prepares social media posts to be shared on agency accounts.
  • Assist in writing and editing press releases covering various topics relating to fishing education and outreach.

Administrative Duties: Attend staff meetings, complete and submit required reports, participate in professional development courses, and complete timesheets in a timely and thorough manner. Assure that files and documentation are complete, accurate, and confidentially maintained; and perform other duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; be a team player.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and be able to work independently.
  • Take initiative and work creatively; communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Adjust to and use new approaches in the performance of their duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours during office hours, which are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprints) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
  • Valid driver’s license.
