Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate selected for this position will be responsible for the review of criminal investigative case packages submitted to the SAO-9 by local law enforcement agencies.
Duties for this position will include reviewing and analyzing investigative reports, sworn statements and evidence received from law enforcement. Duties will also include drafting case synopsis, assisting with tasking law enforcement for evidence needed to effectively prosecute a case, and assisting attorneys in preparation to make a charging decision.
Minimum Training and Experience
A standard high school diploma or equivalency
The candidate(s) shall possess a minimum of six years of Criminal Investigative Division (CID), experience conducting complex major case investigations.
Candidate(s) must have experience as a law enforcement officer, who left their prior agencies in good standing and maintain good standing with the Florida Department of Law enforcement and the Criminal Justice Training Standards Commission.
