Position Summary & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Collect and analyze information required to determine eligibility and monitor changes in circumstances of households to determine and affect payment benefits. Refer customers to appropriate services.
Obtain Information- Use Application, Review, Interim Report, or change information to determine such information as household composition, family unit, income, resources, expenses, etc.
Apply knowledge and determine eligibility- Gain/maintain program knowledge in Cash, Food Assistance, Child Care and LIEAP programs.
Data entry & Documentation- Enter information on eligibility systems as you obtain and document as you go.
Communication with Internal and External Sources- Contact clients for information or to update them on case situations.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience interviewing, investigating, compiling information, documenting decisions, interpreting guidelines, and/or providing technical assistance relevant to the agency's programs. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Valid Driver's License

Security Clearance: A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF.
