The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a part-time vacancy for a Chauffeur.
Proposed Schedule Includes:
Shifts between the hours of 5:30am - 9:00pm

Summary:
Performs routine duties involving the transportation of persons and/or materials by vehicle and acting as an escort/driver for residents of the NH Veterans Home. Provides assistance to residents in recreation and other departments.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS - Under a recent change to the rules, an applicant's relevant experience now counts towards formal education degrees referenced in the posting See Per 405.1.
18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree
36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree
54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent.
Experience: One year's experience as a driver of a passenger-type motor vehicle.
License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire operator's license appropriate to the vehicle used for transporting passengers. Must also possess passenger endorsement if driving a vehicle with 14 passenger capacity or greater.
Must show proof of or must successfully complete a state authorized defensive driving course during the probationary period. CDL License preferred.
Special Requirements: Occasional physical effort necessary to carry materials and assist residents. Knowledge of the road network in the region and of State traffic laws. Ability to deal tactfully with residents and passengers. Ability to recognize the need for maintaining precautions to avoid accidents and to comply with safe driving rules. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority. Ability to perform simple and routine clerical tasks.
