What Stewart Is Looking For...
The IT support specialists position is responsible for providing tier-two support to our field service technicians onsite at major accounts across north Texas. Our IT specialists will be expected to help support our customer's IT needs as it relates to the Canon and HP office equipment we sell. You are naturally inclined towards helping others. You are detail-oriented and know how to focus on what really matters. You understand the importance of the accuracy of information presented to both internal and external customers. Some of the detailed responsibilities include:
Network installations for office equipment that may consist of network printing, scanning, and scanning to file/folder.
Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve software issues on Multi-Function devices.
Use manufacturer-specific applications to monitor, maintain, and deploy equipment.
Assist non-IT field technicians with remote desktop support.
Communicating with field technicians and customers utilizing email, chat, and phone.
Perform remote network troubleshooting on office equipment.
Perform remote network setup on Canon and HP equipment.
The SME when it comes to printer network security.
Work with customers to maintain printers’ firmware and ensure that they are up to date and compliant with current network security standards.
Communicate effectively with different teams inside our customer's organizations to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed and that proper standards are maintained.
Join a rotating on-call schedule, with 24/7 availability (additional bonus compensation provided)
A good understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SMTP, DHCP, HTTPS, DNS, FTP, and SNMP.
Working knowledge of remote support tools and technologies such as Horizon VMware Client, LogMeIn Remote Access, and Remote Desktop Connection.
The pay rate is hourly and paid weekly via direct deposit. Additional bonuses and earning potential are provided on top of the hourly rate.
