Summary
- This is a Provisional/Short term contract opening for those interested in becoming direct employees before the end of the contract.
- Contractors must proactively participate in direct hiring application and receive/accept a direct offer to continue employment beyond 6 months.
- Requests for contract extensions for this position will not be considered.
- Performs basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
- Supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
- Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
- Works under general supervision.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master of Science degree with typically experience in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil.
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Fatigue, Damage Tolerance, and/or Finite Element Analysis
- Experience with applying free body hand diagrams and calculations
- Experience navigating CAD programs, Boeing: CATIA, PDM/ENOVIA
- Stress Analysis review and integration experience with supplies and global partners
- Experience with Boeing Stress Analysis tools such as: FEADMS, IAS, SA, MossDuberg,
- Previous experience with commercial airplane Wing and Fuselage structural analysis; Doors/Windows/Landing Gear Analysis; Flight controls, Mechanical Hydraulics, High lift, Electrical, and/or ECS system installation structural stress analysis experience.
