Pool Maintenance Technician Job Summary

Responsibilities include using our company vehicle to visit clients and troubleshoot, repair, and replace faulty pool equipment. You’ll also test pH levels, treat water with chemicals, and survey the pool structure to identify leaks. The ideal candidate can interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner, has extensive previous experience as a pool maintenance technician, and is proficient in swimming pool chemicals and their properties. Pool Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Test pH levels for water quality and add or maintain chemicals levels
- Troubleshoot, repair, or replace faulty equipment
- Identify and fix cracks or leaks in the pool area structure, pipes, or plumbing
- Replace underwater light fixtures
- Clean swimming pools and filtration using certified pool equipment
- Advise customers on best preventative maintenance practices
- Properly open and close basic and complex swimming pools
- Complete paperwork
- Work full-time during the swimming season (April - November)
Pool Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a pool technician and understanding of common pool maintenance techniques, chemicals, and equipment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (75 lbs minimum) and dexterity are required
- Ability to arrive at work on time Monday - Saturday and finish all jobs on schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
