A Long Island-based healthcare organization is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing team at one of their adult residential facilities in Suffolk County.
About the Opportunity:
Setting: Residential Facility
Schedule: Monday to Friday (rotating weekends; 1 out of every 5)
Hours: 7:30am to 4pm or 10am to 6:30pm
Patient Population: Adult OPWDD
Responsibilities:
The Adult Residential Nurse (RN) will:
Serve as medical Liaison for IDT team and ensure proper medical follow-up
Asses injuries/accidents to ensure individuals receive proper medical care
Develop written plans for each person; modify nursing plan, as necessary
Maintain medical records for each individual
Participate as appropriate in planning and implementation of training of personnel
Ensure proper medical follow-up through an on-call system
Ensure all medication is administered and stored, as necessary
Prepare monthly Medical Administration Records
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
Solid assessment, clinical and documentation skills
Patient oriented
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
