Controller

A recognized services company in Georgia is currently seeking an experienced Accounting professional to join their staff as a Controller. In this role, the Controller will be responsible for preparing financial reports to track the organizations assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Responsibilities:

The Controller will:

• Perform general cost accounting and other related duties in the Accounting Department
• Prepare periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
• Maintain the general ledger
• Code invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
• Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
• Reconcile customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
• Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Provide outside auditors with assistance
• File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software system
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of General Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting
• Solid understanding of and ability to adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Highly proficient with Accounting software.
• Microsoft Excel proficient
• Solid analytical, mathematical and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
