A retail services company in New Jersey is looking to add a new IT Project Manager to join their growing team in Bergen County. In this role, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of technology infrastructure, application and data projects.
Responsibilities:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for:
Successful planning, management and delivery of IT projects, owning, documenting and driving through all stages of the project lifecycle
Assisting in the definition of project scope including requirements gathering, requirements analysis, and functional, technical and business objectives
Managing project technical estimates, working with internal/external technical resources
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans that set project stages, deadlines, tasks, resources, assigned responsibilities, and monitor progress
Managing project budgets, ensuring cost is tightly controlled and reported on throughout
Documenting, manage and track all Risks, Actions, Issues and Dependencies of projects
Preparing and issuing Project Status Updates to Key Stakeholders and Senior Leadershi
Management quality control procedures and processes, including assistance in internal and external technical and user testing cycles
Managing project warranty periods and issue management within hyper care
Assisting in Post-Implementation Reviews and ‘lessons learned’ activities
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
4 years of Project Management experience
Bachelor's Degree
Experience of IT projects, infrastructure and applications e.g., ERP, Finance and Inventory, HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance, POS, customer facing and digital applications
Working knowledge and understanding of both Waterfall & Agile Project methodologies
Proven ability to manage multiple/concurrent high-profile IT projects.
Experience in managing business change initiatives for business & customer applications
Experience in Project Management Apps (e.g., Project, Jira, DevOps)
Microsoft Office proficient
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Desired Skills:
Project Management qualifications is preferred e.g., Prince 2, PMP
Experience of data focused & integration projects
Experience in the Hospital, Retail, PSQ, and/or FMCG industries
