Security Specialist 3 (Back up)

Overview

This is a part-time position.

The primary function of our Team is to ensure that necessary physical security standards are maintained while persons not cleared are visiting secure areas of the office suites.

MAJOR DUTIES:

• Ensuring that visitors to the Principle have been properly processed and issued necessary identification badges and that visitors properly display identification badges at all times.
• Ensuring that visitor’s credentials (badges, forms, etc) are turned in as visitors leave the area or building.
• Remaining with visiting officials at all times while maintaining visual contact until the excused by the host office.
• Ensuring that visitors do not enter areas where they are not authorized.
• Ensuring that visitors are not carrying, or do not use, items that are prohibited in a secure area.
• Maintaining an acute awareness of possible counter-intelligence or terrorism activities.
• Providing Construction Surveillance services when required.
• Setup/breakdown Treaty Room for camera sprays, treaty signing, swearing-in, and retirement ceremonies.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Must be a US citizen with a valid US passport and possess or obtain/maintain a minimum a TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum experience in area of physical security standards 7-10 years.
• Construction Surveillance Technician/Cleared American Guard Training (CST).
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Positive and responsive attitude.
• Team oriented in a high-profile high stress work environment.
• Excellent communications skills.
• BS / BA preferred.
