Purpose of Your Job Position
The primary purpose of the Director of Marketing is to build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers and our community while growing our resident census.
Public Relations/Special Events
Plans and develops fliers, brochures, fact sheets, bios, and newsletters and other marketing and promotional material for the facility.
Establishes and maintains effective, positive relationships with hospital case workers, assisted living facilities and other healthcare organizations and professionals.
Establishes relationships and maintains direct contact with various clubs, organizations, and Senior Citizen Groups.
Coordinates special events for the facility and community with strict adherence to the facility’s Corporate Compliance-Code of Conduct policies. Assists facility staff with the promotion and coordination of any event with which they may need assistance.
Provides presentations, speeches and public appearances as needed and as authorized.
Marketing Duties
Develops and coordinates the implementation of a marketing strategy for resident and facility services, census development and image enhancement (Strategic Marketing Plan)
Maintain data on census (inquiries, admissions, discharges, and referral sources).
Maintains data on customer service satisfaction.
Provides data on marketing analysis and census development to the Administrator as needed.
Attends monthly Quality Assurance (QA)

Nature and Scope
The Director of Marketing reports to the Director of Nursing, Administrator, President/CEO and Director of Operations.
The Director of Marketing is responsible for all public relations/special events, marketing and admission screening for the facility.
The Director of Marketing will conduct all duties in compliance with the Facility’s Corporate Compliance-Code of Conduct, Federal, State and local rules, laws, ordnances, and regulations at all times.
Admissions
Responsible for all census development.
Ensures compliance with Facility Admission Policies
Acts as liaison between facility and resident/family members during pre-admission and admission processes.
Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure that all admissions are screened thoroughly and adequately prior to admission. No resident is admitted to the facility without the expressed authorization of the Director of Nursing and/or Director of Operations.
Ensures all high-cost medications and/or special equipment required by the resident is identified and approved by the Director of Nursing and/or The Director of Operations prior the acceptance of the admission.
Ensure all appropriate documentation is obtained from the previous setting to include, but not limited to, the 3008 and PASRR form prior to admission.

Maintains confidentiality of all resident information and maintains strict compliance with HIPAA/HITECH and confidentiality regulations at all times.
Experience and Additional Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in marketing or admissions in a long-term care facility.
Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare or Medicaid programs.
Must possess and maintain an “Eligible” AHCA Background screening.
Must have a current and valid Drive License
Must have Auto Insurance in amounts required by Florida law.
Must have reliable transportation.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family member/representatives, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Knowledge of reimbursement regulations.
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid.
Knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to Long Term Care Facilities.
Ability to work harmoniously with supervisors and coworkers.
Possess the skills and ability to handle residents, family members/representatives, and visitors with patience and tact based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
Possess effective skills in use of computer systems, applications and other office equipment.
Ability to effectively communicate policies, procedures, regulations, reports, etc., to personnel, residents, family member/representatives, visitors, and government agencies/personnel.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health, safety, or well- being of individuals in the workplace.
Physical and Sensory Requirements

Must be free of communicable diseases as outlined in facility Infection Control Policies.
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents or to shelter in place during emergency situations.
Salary : $63,600 - $80,600
