What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zulu Time Bartender position at The Thayer Hotel?
The Historic Thayer Hotel is looking for full-time and part-time Bartenders for our rooftop bar and lounge, Zulu Time.
Bartenders:
Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages to our guests.
Essential Functions:
· Take beverage orders accurately from guests and servers
· Fill and server guest orders in a timely manner
· Process guest payments
· Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar such as counters, sinks, utensils and bar itself
· Assist in restocking and replenishment of the of bar inventory and supplies.
· Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items and fulfilling customer needs.
· Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Required Qualifications:
· Be at least 21 years of age
· Must have knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
· Have the ability to handle money and operate a POS system
· Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
· Enthusiastic and energetic team player
· Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
