Job Title: Environmental Technician

Type: Full Time

Location: Charleston, WV

We are looking for an Environmental Technician with an Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related degree with 0-3 years’ experience to join our team. As a member of the team, you will drive profitability, work on a variety of environmental and natural resources field investigations and collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

• Assist senior scientists in report writing, permitting, wetland delineations, environmental site assessments, mapping, and sampling
• Use provided templates to generate commonly used documents
• Possess knowledge of permitting requirements for various local, state, and federal agencies
• Develop an understanding of the legal implications of the work provided within the environmental team
• Practice self-edits on all documents and permits prior to technical review
• Travel to project locations when necessary
• Conduct environmental/ biological field assessments independently and collaboratively
• Provide field support to conduct wetland and stream delineations, conduct agency coordination and document findings in technical reports.

To be successful in this position, you will bring;

• BA, BS in environmental sciences, natural resources, or relevant field
• Familiarity with professional etiquette
• Possess the ability to take direction from supervisors and mentors
• Possess the ability to work independently or collaboratively
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Familiarity with industry regulations
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar environmental role
• Be proficient in Word, Excel, and ArcGIS
