Part-time Weekend Live Streaming Video Producer

This is a 1099 Contractor Position Part-time Friday-Sunday shift.

POSITION DETAILS

We are looking for talent who can step into the world of high-quality video podcasting and join our fast-growing company. As with any live streaming position, there are lots of moving parts including a high-level knowledge of technology, social media and marketing, SEO, platforms like YouTube, software, data driven systems, customer satisfaction, creativity, and processes.

This position entails some pre-production, live-production, post-production. You will be responsible for live streaming video and audio through OBS and/or Streamyard managing all aspects of the broadcast including: scene switching, monitoring audio levels, taking live calls, and managing multiple live chat interfaces. This requires you to be organized, skilled at multi-tasking, and quick to adjust and think on your feet.

Candidates must be available to work a variety of hours including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as negotiated. In addition, their is a required 2 weekend hands on adaptation to process, equipment, software, and system.

• After Effects, & Photoshop and Adobe Suite Illustrator
• Graphic Design
• Other live streaming platforms
• Must be able to troubleshoot all of the above including hardware and software for production

Experience In the Following is Bonus:

• WordPress-Avada Templates and sites like, Wix, Weebly, Squarespace
• Understanding of Video Animation for logos, video openers, cool promos
• SEO platforms, tag use, categories, etc.
• Creative Writing
• Social media marketing, tag use, categories, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
• May need to configure workstation equipment, audio and video equipment
• May attend and run remote live shows
• Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

SKILLS AND TALENT

As a media company, we are responsible for lifting and inspiring with respect and giving voice to all the communities and clients that we serve.

• Responsible for overall content and flow of a live and or pre-recorded shows. Run the audio board for various live and taped programs and edit audio for on-air use. Determine the appropriate mix of sound elements for assigned shows and ensure that levels are mixed properly.
• Multi-task with a variety of duties while running the show (may have to track down guests and/or talk to listeners while running the technical operation of the show).
• Audio and video creation and editing. (e.g., video openers, insert additional clips, sound bites, etc.).
• Ability to relate and communicate with a variety of people including talent, guests, callers, and other staff.
• Assist and collaborate with show hosts, guests, and other program contributors on preparations for shows on daily basis and for future shows. Make sure all aspects of the talk show are complete before the show airs.
• Plan ahead and meet deadlines so show can run smoothly for all involved. confirming guest appearances, daily postings to website on show content, understanding program log, assemble audio clips for daily promo updates and key information.
• Notify proper people of any changes or special situations that may come up in a timely manner (i.e. breaking news, cancellations, and technical problems).
• Ensure show runs smoothly while on air by following established timelines; archive show files and post-production editing as requested; handling caller requests, notifying talent of important information, keeping show host on time and on track, interacting with talent, callers and guests when appropriate, following program log, taking breaks, running the board flawlessly, handling changes, monitoring of equipment to ensure it is operating correctly.
• Answer phone calls during airtime and screen calls. Make decisions as to which callers go on the air. Must be able to respond and work well in a crisis.
• Be able to handle last minute and unexpected changes during regular work shift, during shows and at other times as necessary. Be able to communicate quickly and clearly to show host, guests and others as needed.
• Ensure that sound equipment is functioning properly during shows.
• Understand Signal Flow
• Assist with daily commercial production including voice-overs and copywriting as directed by Production Department. Ensures that all commercial production is completed as specified and on time.
• Develop and write copy for station and show promos.
• Have essential knowledge or social media and video distribution such as YouTube and Vimeo.
• High knowledge of social media platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other editing software including website design, graphic design and video editing and creative project work.
• Ability to design graphic material for the network and clients.
• Write, organize, and voice over commercials, openers and outs for shows and clients.
• Must be able to work with senior management on high level projects.
• Must be trustworthy in that we sign NDA's and IPs as our client base of material as well as ours must be protected.
