Job Details
The Waterfront Director is responsible for the general maintenance, upkeep, and advancement of the Club’s waterfront facilities and equipment. This is a forward-facing position that requires the highest quality of service to our members and guests. In addition to supporting all Club venues, the Waterfront Director is accountable for the Boathouse and surrounding grounds, three Club-owned electric-powered boats for rent, 24 member boat slips, and many kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. This position is hands-on and has a responsibility to create lasting experiences for all members and guests.
Position Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Works in conjunction with: Assistant Clubhouse Manager, Head Steward, and Maintenance Supervisor
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Must be driven to provide a consistently exceptional guest experience.
· Maintain cleanliness of the Boathouse, docks and surrounding area.
· Oversee upkeep of Boathouse facilities.
· Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of Boathouse functions
· Operate club boats for members and guests, provide instruction when applicable
· Perform general maintenance of all boats, motors, equipment, and facilities.
· Ensure club operations conform to state regulations.
· Assist members with docking and launching procedures as needed.
· Maintain a safe environment at the boathouse, docks, parking lot, fire pit area and surround grounds.
· Maintain daily records of activities, personnel reports, rental transactions, and lake conditions.
· Arrange for boats to be charged, restocked with supplies, or repaired when needed.
· Assist summer camp program as it pertains to lake activities.
· Perform all other related duties assigned by the Clubhouse Manager.
Qualifications:
- A dedicated professional looking to present themselves in a first class operation and make that operation a reflection of their efforts.
- Prior boating knowledge, basic fishing skills and aquatic life knowledge
- An open and approachable personality with great verbal and written communication skills
· A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to serve others, & knows how to multi-task while ensuring accuracy.
o Must be able to work varied shifts which include mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
· Be able to work as a team within the club environment
· Must be able to deliver a fun & friendly environment during each guest exchange
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
